Rutland County Humane Society pets of the week

Hi, my name is Zilla and I am a gentle older gal who adores people, especially ones who show me affection. I am calm and love to lounge around, and if you let me I will spend all day on your lap and even sleep with you at night! I came to RCHS on May 5 because my owner could no longer care for me. I am clean and use my litter pan, and not to mention I have lived with other cats and a dog and did well with them.

I am looking for a quiet home to spend the rest of my golden years in with unlimited cuddles and love. I would love to find my forever home so come say “hi” and get to know me!

Zilla is an 11-year-old spayed female, gray-and-white, domestic medium-hair, 6.8-pounds.

I’m a quiet and shy gal and I’m happiest when I’m with my best friend Daisy. We’re best friends and we need to be adopted together. I rely on her more than she relies on me but we’re best as a team.

Once I relax and get to know you I will gently wag my tail and give you a kiss or two. I like to play with toys (plush squeaky toys and tug toys are my favorites!) so I hope my new family stocks up on them for me. I’m adorable and sweet but I’ll need a patient owner who will give me the time I’ll need.

I arrived at RCHS on May 20 from a busy shelter in West Virginia and I’m very happy to be in Vermont. I have no known history with cats. I think children would be too much for me with all of the coming and going, commotion and body handling that goes along with them. A quiet home sounds terrific!

I am very shy at first so I will need a patient owner who will take the time I need to settle in to my new home and routine and new family members. After I relax, my personality will bloom but it will certainly take some time. I don’t really know how to walk on a leash and I tend to roll sideways so I’ll need some work on that. If you think a pair of sweet ladies like me and Daisy would make great additions to your family, please stop by and meet us!

Tulip is a 1-year-old spayed female Retriever mix, 25 pounds.

Adoption center hours are Tuesday - Saturday, noon to 5 p.m. For more information, call (802) 483-6700 or visit www.rchsvt.org.
