ANDOVER — The Andover Project Committee is awarding scholarships this year to two students: Kris Haselton, who will be attending Community College of Vermont in Springfield, and Robert Carlock, who will be attending Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, Florida.

This year, each scholarship award is $1,000, according to a press release from the Andover Scholarship Committee.

One student, Jonathan Dion is enlisting in the military. The committee is giving him an Amazon Kindle to help him to stay connected to his families and friends, no matter where he is asked to serve.

Kindles will also be awarded to Jake Dion, who entered the military last year after graduation, and Selena Gordon, who graduated last year and will be beginning her service this year.

The Andover Project Committee has been offering first year college and university scholarships to qualified Andover student residents since the mid-1990s.
